Traveling through the scenic byways of Georgia’s lush Gold Coast, you’ll escape into a world of live oaks draped with Spanish moss, incredible seafood, breathtaking views and historic inns in the Golden Isles.

 

Nothing can prepare you for seeing the incredible wildlife living in national wildlife refuges. When you’re on your bike, you’ll be right in the thick of everything that makes this region famous–history, wildlife and lots of Southern hospitality.

Day 1: Begin your ride in the heart of historic Savannah, Georgia, and choose to continue riding or exploring on foot. After lunch, you’ll be shuttled over to Tybee Island for a lighthouse tour and a lovely ride. Dinner will be as a group in Savannah, where our lodging is for the night.

 

Day 2: Travel from Savannah to Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge, 2,672 acres of marsh, grassland, cropland and deciduous woods. Keep an eye out for egrets, herons and a multitude of other native species as you ride to the beautifully situated Dockside Inn.

 

Day 3: Ride around Jekyll Island, home of Driftwood Beach and a smooth 20-mile ride to give you a leisurely ride to your night’s lodging at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel.

 

Day 4:  Take a quick shuttle to St. Simons Sound to visit the site of the Battle of Bloody Marsh. The island has over 30 miles of paved road and trail. Enjoy a final lunch at the South Dunes Picnic Area.

 

Pre- and post-tour transportation provided: We provide shuttles to and from the airport, parking and nearby airport hotels on the first and last day of the tour. More information about provided pre- and post-trip transportation and parking options will be provided after booking.
