Experience Gettysburg as few people have, up close and personal with a battlefield guide. This award-winning vacation retraces key campaigns of the American Conflict. Cycle through the beautiful landscapes of rural Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia. We pass stone barns of the 1700s, and beautiful brick homes that have witnessed the birth and struggles of a young nation. Roll past the farm fields that still feed a nation. In the evenings, kick back and reflect while relaxing on a porch from a previous era.

Day 1: Meet your Licensed Battlefield Guide for a riveting tour of the Gettysburg National Battlefield. Enjoy a wine and cheese party at your lodging for the evening, Brafferton Inn.

Day 2: Today is a day of options: take a leisurely ride through the countryside to the Antrim 1844 Country House Hotel, or jam-pack your ride with covered bridges and cornfields before retiring for the night.

Day 3: Climb to Gathland State Park for spectacular views, and descend through mixed forest and farmland along the Antietam River, followed by a tour of the Antietam National Battlefield.

Day 4: Cycle to the confluence of the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers and the historic town of Harper’s Ferry. Ride six miles on the C&O Canal towpath to our final destination and shuttle.
