The majority of these trips take place on crushed limestone surfaces.

Kona Dr Dew hybrid bike rental

The Kona Dr. Dew

The most popular choice! This bike is a “hybrid,” meaning it has mountain-bike-style flat handlebars and fast-rolling tires with some tread. These bikes are easy to handle, especially for less experienced riders. The mountain bike position and controls (brakes and shifting) makes the bike easy to ride on dirt, and it keeps the riders head up so it’s easy to look around. Compared to a road bike, the position is more comfortable for people with limited flexibility, neck or back issues. The Dr. Dew can also be used on a road tour.

The Dr. Dew has a 1 x 11-speed drivetrain, which has the same gear range as an older 3 x 10-speed drivetrain. The 1 x 11 is better because it’s lighter and shifts more quickly.

Details:

  • Hydraulic disc brakes
  • Wide-range gearing
  • 650x47c tires
  • Aluminum frame and fork
  • 25 pounds

Kona Rove NRB

650b wheels, a carbon flat mount disc fork, and mechanical disc brakes mean that transition from pavement to dirt is seamless. Couple those features with a SRAM Apex 1x drivetrain, and the Rove NRB is begging to take you away from your traditional route and into territories unexplored.

Like the Kona Dr. Dew, the Rove NRB is efficient on paved roads and off. It’s great for dirt roads, rail trails and even pavement.

Details:

  • Aluminum frame & carbon fork
  • 650b x 47c tires
  • SRAM Apex 11spd drivetrain
  • Disc brakes

The Kona Dew-E

We have a limited quantity of Kona Dew-E hybrid bikes available as electric bikes! From our beloved Dew platform, the Dew-E is the ultimate adventure machine. Bright front and rear lights, fenders, and a Bosch motor make quick work of all conditions. Outfitted in quality Shimano components, and puncture-resistant 650bx47c tires. the Dew-E is ready for adventure.

An e-bike is a great option for people who’ve recently been injured, haven’t had time to train for a trip, or would like a little extra help so they can keep up with their riding partners!

E-bike rentals are $200.

The Kona Coco

The Coco is a step-through bike for people who request a step-through specifically. The riding position is so comfortable! Its slightly upright, swept-back handlebars allow arms and wrists to relax, and this bike is also outfitted with ergonomic grips to take pressure off the hands. The Coco’s step-through frame makes it easy to get on and off the bike. If you have flexibility issues, this bike is for you! The Coco has wide 650bx47c mm tires, so it rides great on both rail-trails and roads.

Details:

  • Disc brakes
  • 1×9 speed
  • 650bx47c tires

Bike Rental Options for Road Bike Tours

These trips take place on a paved roads. Please note – both options are not available for all tours

The Cannondale Synapse Disc 5 105

A great road bike for a scenic tour – but only on 100% paved roads! The Synapse has a relaxed road bike position for greater riding comfort. This road bike has a more efficient and aerodynamic position than a hybrid bike. The Synapse is equipped with slick, high pressure road bike tires – the best and fastest choice for pavement tours. More experienced riders are comfortable on drop bars, which have more options for hand positions.

Compared to a race-oriented road bike, the Synapse has a more relaxed, upright position which is perfect for long rides.

Details:

  • Mechanical disc brakes
  • 2×10 compact drivetrain (a compact drivetrain has lower climbing gears than most road bike drivetrains, so it’s easier to get up a steep hill)
  • 700x25c tires
  • Aluminum frame and carbon fiber fork
  • 21 pounds
