Race Check in & Day of Registration
10AM – 12 PM at Wilderness Voyageurs in Friendsville, MD. You will be able to register the day of the race at Wilderness Voyageurs in Friendsville from 10 AM until noon. However, registering prior to the check in will help expedite the process ( and save you $).
If you register in advance, you still must pick check-in, sign your waiver and pick up your bib by noon. This means, if you are racing, you physically must stop by the shop and do these things.
$30 Race classes: All boats welcome! Race classes will be determined by the number of entrants
If you register the day of the race it is $35.
4 PM at Gap Falls Post Race: Prizes and party at Wilderness Voyageurs Freindsville following the event. There is no way to register at the start on the river, don’t even try.

Friendsville Days festivities A parade float line up is taking the whole North side of the road where Boaters Park, parade set to run at Noon. Please enter Town on the West side since down town will be closed to traffic around 11:45pm, you will be directed to enter the new parking area right next to the Liquor store. Please DO NOT drive down Water Street to access the parking. We even want you to Take Out under the Big Route 68 Bridge and walk over to the parking area behind the Methodist Church. This is a one time use only to solve the problem of two big activities going on at the same time. Also, the Friendsville Days festivities at the Town Park includes FOOD and entertainment. There is a great little Thai food vendor who comes here every year along with the wholesome local offerings. Thank you and please have a great race day! The World Championships of upstreaming will occur on Entrance Rapid Saturday August 26, 2017. Start time is promptly at 7:00 pm at the Lower Yough put-in. This event is unsanctioned and unsponsered by Wilderness Voyageurs, this information is posted for the benefit of the kayaking community. There are no fees, no rules and no organizers. If you have any questions, show up on the 26th and the kangaroo court of upstream racers will be happy to heckle you.
