Bike Demo Day April 1, 10am  Free bike demo’s- Time for a new bike?  We will have the following bikes available for demo Cannondale Beast of the East 29’r, Cannondale Synapse road bike, Kona Rove- cross bike

Cuba Bike Touring Presentation  TBD Kasia Martin, our Director of Bike Tours is leading a bike tour of Cuba in March. Check out her images and stories, you will be ready to bop on down south for a time machine vacation

New Zealand Bike Touring Presentation  TBD  Montana & Colleen Miller spent the winter on their bikes circumnavigating both islands of New Zealand. Enjoy an evening of amazing scenery and bike route insights for biking on the bottom of the world.

Drysuit Demo April 1 & 2   You read that correctly, a rare opportunity to try a drysuit prior to purchase, and yes it is free. We have partnered with Immersion Research, and will have an assortment of sizes available to demo.  The demo will be for a 2 hour period.  So plan on a loop run to try on the latest in tech and fashion.

Kayak Demo Day April 1 & 2  You have seen them on line, now get your butt in one of the hottest designs of the year for free!  Demo’s will be limited to 2 hours. Available to demo will be:

  • Pyranha: Machno, 9R,  9rL
  • Jackson Kayaks: the hot new Antix, also Karma, Zen, & Karma Unlimited
  • Liquid Logic:   Party Braap,  Mullet, Braap, & Stinger

 

Soft Goods Repair Techniques June 16th 6pm, The experts from Immersion Research will be here to teach you some techniques to keep your technical outerwear and river gear in tip top shape and repair it after it takes a beating! Join us in the Wilderness Voyageurs pavilion.

Plastic Kayak Repair Techniques April 28th  7pm,  Learn how to repair those old boats hiding out under the deck or behind the garage. We will share tips and tricks so that you can pare down your boat quiver at Cheat Fest.

Paddle with the Jackson Pro   TBD   – Meet up with Jackson’s finest for a West Virginia experience! We will be running the Cheat or a local creek. Get some advice and demos from the pros on how to up your style and game! Stay posted to the Facebook event to see the final word on the location!

Injury Prevention for Paddlers  TBD  7pm meet at the Ohiopyle WV Pavilion. Local sports physical therapist, Justin Descovich, will provide tips and tricks to keep your butt in your boat and off his table..

Paddle with the Pyranha Demshitz  Pro Jared Seiler  Friday June 16th, 11am meet at the Upper Yough WV Store.  Paddle with Eastern PA’s Demshitz Pro for some tips and tricks to step up your kayaking game! Looking to have both an Upper Yough Run for those looking for creeking and Class V tips and a Loop Run   all levels (Must have prior experience on the Lower Yough or loop).

Women’s Learn to Fly Fish Weekend June 10-11, July 8-9 This ladies-only, 2-day workshop will start at the very beginning, so no prior experience is necessary. This class will teach you proper casting techniques, knot tying, bug identification and on-water strategy. The weekend includes 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 days of group instruction. Intro to Fly Fishing Weekend June 3-4, July 15-16 Looking for a great way to learn the ins and outs of fly fishing? Our weekend-long class will give you the techniques and knowledge you need. We will examine the theory and practice of fly casting and provide individual casting instruction at each student’s pace. In addition, we will review equipment and knot tying, trout habitat, insect hatches and fly selection. The weekend includes 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 days of group instruction.
