Most of these events are held at the pavilion behind the Wilderness Voyageurs store on Garrett Street in Ohiopyle. This is a pretty laid-back setting, and everyone is welcome! Winter Market December 2, 2023 Join us for the first annual Winter Market in Ohiopyle. Styled after the traditional German winter mart celebration, we welcome local artisans and crafts people to Garrett Street in Ohiopyle. The market will be outside, but we will have a covered walk way and plenty of covered space if the weather does not cooperate. There will be fires and heaters and general merriment. Ohiopyle State Park will also be lighting up Ohiopyle Falls. Come out and support your local art community and have a great time in the park. ** This event will take place on the first Saturday of December.

Women’s Learn to Fly Fish Weekend May & June 2023 TBA This ladies-only, 2-day workshop will start at the very beginning, so no prior experience is necessary. This class will teach you proper casting techniques, knot tying, bug identification and on-water strategy. The weekend includes 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 days of group instruction. Intro to Fly Fishing Weekend 2023 TBA Looking for a great way to learn the ins and outs of fly fishing? Our weekend-long class will give you the techniques and knowledge you need. We will examine the theory and practice of fly casting and provide individual casting instruction at each student’s pace. In addition, we will review equipment and knot tying, trout habitat, insect hatches and fly selection. The weekend includes 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 days of group instruction. Fly Fishing Merit Badge Weekend 2023 TBA Learn the requirements to earn your Fly Fishing Merit Badge. Skills taught include how to tie knots needed for preparing a fly fishing rod, explanation on which fly to use and when, how to cast consistently and accurately using overhand and roll cast, how to find fish locations, leave no trace/catch & release importance and other skills needed for the fly fishing merit badge qualifications.
