Spectacular ride on the Katy Trail
I rode the Katy Trail ride in mid October. The mornings were quite cool, but the light reflecting off of the dew-covered flora was gorgeous. We lucked out and had absolutely no rain. The trail itself is mostly flat and follows along the Missouri river for much of it. There was a certain tranquility in having no responsibilities for six days other than riding a bicycle across nice terrain. The trail sort of becomes your friend. I also lucked out in meeting a friendly and interesting group of people during the trip. There was a lot of time to chat both on and off the trail. We stayed in B&B and hotels that were very comfortable and accommodating.
Our guides Teri and Alex were fantastic. Not only did they take care of our every need, but they were personally invested in the trail itself and the surrounding communities.
I highly recommend this ride, and it will be all the better if Teri and Alex guide you.
