Heat Wave did not keep us from Cycling the Amish Countryside…
The WV Guides kept their cool and the riders supplied with plenty of cold drinks, ice water and ice cream (PA Amish Country Bike Tour). Great trip from start to finish. We especially enjoyed the Amish backroads where we saw carriages, Amish farms, stables and a blacksmith shop. The views of the countryside were awesome, and the rolling hills were fun to bike. Summit Hill was a challenge, but then the spectacular views made it worthwhile. Richard and Dave added extra rest stops and water breaks that included fresh fruit and vegetables from local farms. Look forward to biking this route again, but perhaps in the Fall harvest season.
