We’ll be spending 3 days riding mostly downhill, on a crushed limestone double track trail, along the banks of the Greenbrier River. The riding is relatively easy, but the surface can be bumpier than a fully crushed limestone trail.
The tour will start with a visit to the Green Bank Observatory, located in the National Radio Quiet Zone and home to the world’s largest fully steerable radio telescope. We’ll also visit the Cass Scenic Railroad State Park, which is the starting point of the northern end of the Greenbrier River Trail. The trail is in the Rail-trail hall of fame, recognized as a National Recreation Trail, and one of 52 Millennium Legacy Trails in the United States!
