Georgia Gold Coast – Fantastic!
The Georgia Gold Coast was my 2nd bike tour with Wilderness Voyageurs, and I’m planning a 3rd for next year (speaks for itself!). Josh and Bill were fantastic guides.
This was more than just a bike trip – we truly experienced the Georgia coast (starting with a tour of Savannah) along with history and lots of opportunities for wildlife viewing. Josh shared his incredible knowledge of the birds of Georgia and set up his telephoto lens to show us up-close the water birds nesting in a refuge.
Accommodations were great, bike routes were great, food was great.
This year I rented one of their bikes and it was perfect (I recommend going with WV’s recommendation for whether a road bike or hybrid will be best on any particular trip!). I love the fact that each bike is outfitted with a Garmin with the route for each day pre-programmed so it’s ok if the group gets spread out a bit. We were all together but still had a sense of ‘freedom’. Nobody will ever be left and there are options to rider shorter/longer. A+ all around.
