Fun Biking Event for the entire family
Head on down, or over, or what ever you need to do to get to the Great Western Bicycle Rally in Paso Robles, California this Memorial Day Weekend. A four day festival of all things cycling, you know, like wine and beer.
There is a “Cycling Village” which is an expo of all things biking, clothes, bikes, tours, beer opener etc. it opens at noon on Friday. Since all of this drooling over the latest greatest toys and trips will be a workout in of itself, head straight to the Artisan Food Expo, cookies as large as your head, locally grown produce, and we will let the rest be a surprise.
Oh yeah, riding, yes that is also part of the festival, choose from a number different rides and competitions: “Velo de Femme” rides ranging in distance from 20 to 60 miles, a “Garlic Ride”, self guided routes and even a gravel grinder will debut this year. Yes, there are events for the munchkins as well ,,,,
Camping is available starting Thursday night, for the full Bicycle rally schedule of events, follow that link you just passed. All of this fun is can be found at the Paso Robles Event Center, 2198 Riverside Avenue, Paso Robles, California, 93446. “Conveniently” located midway between San Francisco and Los Angeles, about a 3 hour drive from either city.
This is one bike event you want to get on your calendar, if you can not make it this year, plan ahead. It is always held on Memorial Day weekend.
