Amazing Upper Yough Rafting Adventure
We did the trip on the Upper Yough River. It’s actually in Friendsville, MD not Ohiopyle. First off, this is a very challenging river. Don’t let it be your first time on whitewater and don’t go if you’re not able to manage the physical exertion required. I’ve been on many rivers in many states including Alaska and this was the most intense. That said, it was fantastic. There are multiple outfitters on the river and it was very clear to my group that Wilderness Voyageurs was the best. The way they handled their guests, their laid back attitude about life but seriousness about the river mentality, and the overall skill with which they navigated the rafts was superb. I wouldn’t use anyone else. In addition, our guide, Josh, was out of this world. He was like an artist carving his way through the boulders with us. He was personable, knowledgeable, and you could tell he truly loved what he did. Can’t wait to go back!
