biking the battlefields is awesome
I felt like I was in heaven last week while participating in the Shenandoah and the Civil War tour. Three days of biking in the Virginia and the Blue Ridge Mountains followed by three days of biking through Civil War history. The tour included tours by bike, led by professional guides, of the Antietam and Gettysburg battlefields. What an awesome way to experience these battles and imagine what the soldiers of both sides went through. Top that off with first class meals and lodgings and two Wilderness Voyageurs guides who were extremely accommodating and you have one outstanding bike touring adventure.
