Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands Bike Tour

History was never closer, more breathtaking or tastier than on the country roads of western Pennsylvania. You’ll cross six covered bridges as you wind your way through historic Bedford and Ligonier, PA.

Experience the rich heritage that earned Pennsylvania the moniker of “The Keystone State” and witness a quaintness that is not easily found in the hustle and bustle of the modern era. Ride the same back roads that George Washington did, stay where 10 U.S. presidents have hung their hat, and marvel at the numerous colonial buildings that still serve as homes and shops.

Day 1: Meet at the Bedford Springs Hotel to begin your ride through the valley, rich with colonial history and architecture. Visit Jones Mill and have lunch at the Powder Mill Nature Center. Cycle to the town of Ligonier and visit its famous fort.

Day 2: You will be shuttled to your starting point, from where you’ll pedal to the Flight 93 Memorial and on to New Baltimore, PA. Spend the night in Bedford Springs. 

Day 3: Get ready for a day of covered bridges! Begin in Chestnut Ridge and enjoy a day of scenic Pennsylvania landscape and infrastructure.

Day 4: Your last day will be an educational one. Enjoy a Whiskey Rebellion tour to end your adventure.
