Day 1: Our tour begins in electrifying Las Vegas, known for its entertainment, award winning restaurants, and glitzy nightlife. We begin today with an unforgettable ride starting on the urban Northern and Western Beltway Trails and then onto the Red Rock Canyon Road bicycling between Cowboy Canyon and Red Rock Canyon, from the Centennial Hills suburb of Las Vegas to the quaint town of Blue Diamond. We will hike today in the Calico Basin and ride the Red Rock Canyon Scenic Loop Drive. Our lodging tonight is in the Arts District, and our evening is spent exploring Las Vegas.
Day 2: Today we leave Sin City behind and embrace a scenic bike ride that takes you through the Valley of Fire State Park, offering 50,000 acres of awe and wonder. We bike through some of the most notoriously named landscapes in Nevada like Elephant Rock, Rainbow Vista, Atlatl Rock and Mouse’s Tank Road. The day culminates with a hike on the Owl Canyon Trail and a shuttle to our lodging in Boulder City.
Day 3: We leave from our hotel in Boulder City on bike to ride in the part of the eastern Mojave desert known as River Mountains. On this paved loop trail created just 25 years ago you’ll pass by two ancient volcanoes. The 35 mile path zips through a wild fusion of landscapes—craggy mountains, rugged desert and majestic lake views. Hiking today is on the Black Mountain Trail.
Day 4: Depart from the hotel and ride to Hoover Dam all on trail. How fun is that? Once at the dam, we’ll take a private tour and learn how it was built, it’s history, and how it provides electrical power to half a million homes. After our walking tour we will return to Boulder City by bike, then hike the IMBA and West Log Loop before we prepare to depart and say our goodbyes.
