Texas Big Bend – “A Truly Amazing Bike Tour!”
A truly amazing bike tour! Let’s start with the great scenery, smooth, quiet roads, wonderful small towns, historic small hotels, fun fellow riders and great food, Add the fantastic guidance from Montana and Colleen, who were very flexible and accommodating about meeting each riders food, mileage and equipment needs, The rides each day were very well thought-out and described with multiple options for less (or more) mileage. Having a canoe outing on the Rio Grande and a wonderful hike were a great complement to the riding. I enjoyed that the breakfast and dinner selections were only limited by the menus in each restaurant. The lunches on the road were very fresh and healthy, with a some great options for “indulgence”, too. I enjoyed that there was ample time at the end of riding each day to explore a few of the unique West Texas towns in which we stayed for the night. I happily spent some extra time in El Paso and even ventured into Juarez, Mexico for the afternoon. Definitely worth seeing!
A Big Bend bike tour had been on my bucket list for several years and the WV tour was a wonderful way to see the area. I would heartily recommend Wilderness Voyagers for a bike tour. I will be planning another trip with Montana and Coleen in the future.
