Good Exposure to Civil War Sites!
This trip was interesting because it had a bit of everything: guided battlefield tours by experts, a bit of scenic road riding, top-shelf luxury accommodations and food, and even a short ride down a historic canal towpath.
It was a lot different from the 6-day GAP/C&O trip that I did last year! There was no strenuous riding involved (other than some short-but-steep hills) and we even had some time to relax at our destination on the 2nd day.
Our bike tour guides on the trip were friendly, efficient, and helpful! They kept us informed of each day’s schedule and made on-the-spot decisions when required.
I especially like Wilderness Voyageurs’ small group size! They never exceed 12 riders, which always allows for instant congeniality among strangers on the trip!
I am sure that I’ll be back for yet another WV biking trip next year!
