The quaint borough of Ohiopyle doesn’t hold its own fireworks display in town – but as with every year – there are plenty of awesome nearby fireworks shows to enjoy after your Ohiopyle adventures over the Independence holiday long weekend.  Here is our favorite list of the best and closest locations to see 2017 fireworks near Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania.

Visiting Ohiopyle on July 4th is really special – the town lights up beautiful Ohiopyle Falls on Monday, July 3rd, at dusk under gorgeous lights. They are definitely worth viewing up close and personal this holiday! Below is a rundown of where to go to watch fireworks around Ohiopyle.

Fireworks 10 Minutes from Ohiopyle

Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, just 10 minutes from Ohiopyle, is marking the Fourth of July with a big celebration and a weekend of great family fun, including a Weekend Kick-Off Party Dinner with live music on Friday, June 30. Their annual fireworks display begins at 9:30 pm on Tuesday, July 4. Best spots to watch? Try the Sundial Lodge or the Links Pro Shop Parking Lot.

Fireworks 45 minutes from Ohiopyle

Join the Independence Day festivities at Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Seven Springs, PA. About 45 minutes from Ohiopyle, they offer lots of fun activities for the whole family, including a canopy tour. The Zambelli Fireworks show is on Monday, July 3 at 9:30.

Fireworks ~60 Minutes from Ohiopyle

Less than an hour from Ohiopyle, you can check out the annual Fire on the Mountain Fireworks in McHenry, MD. On Tuesday, July 4, fireworks light up the sky above Marsh Mountain at Wisp Resort overlooking Deep Creek Lake. Fireworks begin around 9:30 pm and there are several locations from which to watch. Biking the GAP trail through Ohiopyle is something all ages can enjoy, bring your own bike or rent some from our bike shop for maximum convenience.
