Where is everybody?
Wilderness Voyageur’s staff flee Ohiopyle in the winter. A few hardy souls remain, like Kat, Lou, Ben, Heather, Tracy & Bill, but most of the gang head out of town. Morgantown, WV is home to quite a few staff and many others have return to their respective schools. Josh Lawry is guiding for Rios Tropicales in Costa Rica for his 3rd season. Enjoying the sun, birds & beautiful rivers! A bunch of the crew head west to work at ski resorts between Colorado and Idaho. Eric and Kasia relocate their offices to Colorado for 5 weeks of marketing focused work and a bit of ski time. Lynne has ventured to Arizona to take the chill out of February.
You will find Corey sticking around Ohiopyle for the first time in years to help keep Falls City Pub open. Andrea & Brian are in Steamboat. Rich & Jenn are keeping Pittsburgh in order. Dale is hoping for the high water to return to a fishable level around Ohiopyle! Idaho is keeping George & Pat in shape for the paddling season. The buzz is Sherpa will actually be leaving Colorado to return for another Yough season this year. Welcome back!
Soon the staff will begin trickling back to Ohiopyle and everyone will be ready to get on the water! Until then…enjoy the snow, skiing and where ever you are wintering!
