We had a great time as usual.
Hey Eric: Thanks again for a great experience for my students and staff. The Trillium Lodge was super–everyone enjoyed their stay there–and the whitewater trips on the Lower Yough and Cheat Narrows were super. This, I think was the 12th or 13th year in a row my class has patronized Wilderness Voyageurs.
The only things I was disappointed in were that Brian in Albright needed to people to ride in the sweep raft and worked intensely to get a couple of students to give up their duckies. This wasn’t a huge deal because the folks who volunteered were the most terrified of the prospect of paddling a ducky through Calamity, but I didn’t think it was quite right to expect the students to do so. Also, after the Yough trip, I paid for a CD, believing (and I don’t know why), that I would get photos of my all the rafts with my students in them, but, alas, my photos are limited to my raft, with me, Tyler, my TA, and three folks not affiliated with the trip. I should have asked the young woman who helped me if she could put photos on the disk of the three or four rafts my students were in. Again, thanks for all your hospitality. I’s getting way old, but am probably good for at least one more year. Best, Bob Burkholder

This is a really cool class from Penn State, writing and wilderness, wish that had been available to me.
They were on the Cheat River Narrows, in May of 2015.
Hey Bob,
Always a pleasure to have the bright minds of PSU on the water with us. Thanks for the heads up about the raft situation, we have addressed it. Your CD of the other boats has been sent, thanks for more than a decade of adventuring with us.
