Chesapeake Bay Sunsets by Bike
I don’t know about you, but when I think about the Chesapeake Bay or the ocean I think sunsets.
Here is a bit of a hit parade from some of our bike tours on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
Chesapeake bay sunsets keep on giving
A good post biking day location,, ahhhh the Sandaway Lodge in Oxford, Maryland.
One evening awaiting our dinner, forced to stare lazily over some comfy boats. You start thinking, I could live on a boat and be rocked to sleep.
It really was this color.
Where are the obligatory Pelicans?
“Sitting on the dock of the bay”, the lyrics from the Otis Redding song are all I can hear when I see this dock or look at this image. I know it is running through your head right now, so to tickle that itch, listen to the song from the 1968 album by the same name Sitting on the Dock of the Bay
Following another lovely dinner bayside at Masthead at Pier Street Marina. This place is hard to beat for atmosphere, not white table cloth, but you will want to return again and again.
Chesapeake Bay Sunsets
This concludes our showing of Chesapeake Bay sunsets, to see more, get out into it! We can not guarantee a world class sunset every evening, but we can guarantee a slowing down of your days, and a memorable experience exploring the coves and backroads of Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
This 4 day inn to inn bike tour, is fully supported and guided. This bike tour is operated in April and May every year, giving you an opportunity to get in the biking mode on friendly terrain. The tour is offered again in the fall in October, to help lengthen your biking season as the temperatures are delightful along the water, week after the first frost has show up at higher elevations.
All photos were taken by Josh Lawrey, an amazingly talented guy, who will be your guide, bird spotter and trip documenter.
