If you don’t already have plans to head our direction, that is OK.  There is still plenty of space available on Ohiopyle rafting trips this weekend.  Everyone assumes we are sold out, so no one calls, then they say, HEY lets just see???

Saturday there is space on all three rafting tours of the Lower Yough,  9:30  11:30 or 1:30 : these are the trip check in times.  Sunday is a similar situation, but we expect the 11:30 trip to fill up very soon.

So quit procastinating and reserve your Ohiopyle White water rafting trip.

This could be you this weekend, sun and white water.

What is your preferred mode of fun in Ohiopyle?

Mountain biking?   The trails are in pretty good shape, the rain has been minimal this week and they are dry enough for biking.  Head to McCune Trail up on Sugarloaf, it is away from the hub bub of town and is wicked pretty, not to mention challenging.

Rails to Trails biking:  The Great Allegheny Passage is a veritable highway of blooming plants and small stream water falls right now, Dogwood, Rhododendren, May Apples, just to name a few.  We have a fleet of 100 bikes available to rent, so walk on in.

Flower Watchers- Rhododendren are beginning to bloom.  Look for them at lower elevations in the park, like along the Great Allegheny Passage, these bushes will bloom first.   They will continue to bloom until late June at the highest points in the park.

If you are a fisherman or fisherwoman, we have a tip for you,  Green Drakes and March Browns are hatching.  The March Browns are huge in size and quantity.   Green Drakes are just getting going, but with the warming conditions throughout the weekend they will become more prevalent in the Yough.  Historically the Green drake hatch on the Yough peaks during the first week of June.

Beer Drinkers-  Ohiopyle’s favorite restaurant has more than 50 micro beers to choose from for your lollygagging in the sun pleasure.
