Ohiopyle Tap Takeover: Helltown Brewing

Ohiopyle Tap Takeover: Helltown Brewing

Falls City Pub announces second ” Tap Takeover”

What are you doing Thursday evening? Cmon up to Ohiopyle, do a little paddling or biking or hanging, and then head to the Pub for some tasty brews.  Once a month throughout 2015 a regional brewery will be invading and taking over the beer system at your favorite Ohiopyle hang place, Falls City Pub.

Join the alchemists of Ale from Helltown Brewing on May 14th in Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania.  They are taking over the taps at the Pub.

The Tap takeover will commence at 6 PM and linger until 9 PM.

Helltown will be pouring the following:

Mischevious Brown

Extra Sinful Bitter – clever ESB

Sea Son of Hell

Rapture IPA — could make a last minute appearance.. fingers crossed- it is so good that supplies are very limited at this moment

& the wicked cool Purgatory series of test/ experiment brews.

Meet the folks behind the tap and sample a bunch of unique and yummy brews.

My Favorite beer

I am very partial to the Rapture IPA, which utilizes Simcoe, Centennial and Columbus Hops.  This beer has an incredible smooth taste the entire way through.  In fact it is only 1 of 4 beers that I have awarded a 5 star rating in my favorite app “Untappd“.  Yes there is an app for that, specifically an app for beer.  Check it out, it will change your beer world.

In case you are wondering, the other perfect beer scores in my world are: Aspen Brewing’s Independence Pass Ale, Stone’s “Drink by 4-20 IPA”, and Anderson Valley’s  Wild Turkey Bourbon Barrel Stout.  (As an aside join us on our Granny gears and Micro Beers mountain bike trip in Colorado.  You will get to visit 5 breweries in 6 days including Aspen Brewing.)

Get a head start on the weekend by ducking up to Ohiopyle Thursday after work. Go for a hike or a paddle, even a road ride; then get to sampling.

Helltown will also be attending the 14th annual Ohiopyle Beer Festival, Beer & Gear on June 20th, 2015.
