If you haven’t gotten out for some fly fishing in Ohiopyle yet this season, NOW is the time! The Caddisflies are ‘a hatchin! Black caddis and tan caddis are here and, with them, come the fish! Check out this cloud that nabbed me while white water kayaking in Ohiopyle!
A helpful hint to all! Caddis love the downstream side of rocks with some healthy, green moss on them. And, where there are caddis, there are jumping fish! Late May and June fly fishing in Ohiopyle means warmer temperatures and more fish food hatches! Olive caddis, sulphurs and green and brown drakes are the next on the list. Now is prime time to get out your gear and get on the loop to scope out your own secret spot for the summer!
