Look who is coming to Beer & Gear  June 18, 2011 ……….

Rock Bottom Brewery in HomesteadPA, part of a national chain of brewery restaurants, has been proudly brewing locally inspired beers for the Pittsburgh market since its founding over 10 years ago.  Recently, Rock Bottom has expanded its brewing operations and you are able to order up one of their tasty brews at your local watering hole.  The recent increase in barrelage has allowed Rock Bottom to offer additional specialty releases, increasing their seasonal beer portfolio to over 30 individual brands over the course of the year.  They have also been ramping up their barrel-aging program with 3 different beers currently aging in various types of oak barrels for eventual blending and release.  With at least eight locally brewed beers (often more) and one cask offering always on-tap you are sure to find something to your palate’s liking on any trip to their bar.

Also of note, Rock Bottom is excited to welcome the new extension of the Great Allegheny Passage Trail to Homestead and is excited for the tentative completion by next spring of the trail all the way to downtown Pittsburgh.  The brewery, located almost adjacent to the trail’s path in Homestead, should prove to be a welcome respite with delicious, thirst quenching brews, a seasonal patio and a spacious bar with plenty of room for adventurers and bar-flies alike.  Rock Bottom has been a proud supporter of the Beer and Gear Fest for the past five years and looks forward to continuing to work with Wilderness Voyageurs for years to come.  Please return the favor and ask for an Uppity Jag-Off IPA, Rock Bottom Kolsch or any of their other distributed brands at your local watering hole.”
