Gear Swap –April 26, 2025 Clean out your closets and your garage of that gear you are not using! Bring it down to the Ohiopyle Outfitter Store and find it a new home and make space for that gear you have been eyeing up. Details on how Gear Swap works.
Beer and Gear – June 21, 2025 Western Pennsylvania’s original micro-beer festival. More than 20 local breweries will be on hand to share their magic elixirs. A great outdoor setting in the heart of Ohiopyle State Park, with amazing music to boot.
Paddling Film Festival– July 12, 2025 We will host the National Paddling Film festival at the pavilion on Garrett Street. Thanks to our co-sponsors the Mountain Watershed Association. This event is free of charge and will begin at 7:30 pm.
Annual Demo Boat Sale Labor Day Weekend We will continue the tradition of our demo boat sale on August 30-Sept 1. A detailed list of boats will be provided in the weeks prior to the event. ( click to see the ongoing used boat list) Most boats are priced $700 – $1000
Winter Market December 6, 2025 Join us for the third annual Winter Market in Ohiopyle. Styled after the traditional German winter mart celebration, we welcome more than 50 local artisans and crafts people to Garrett Street in Ohiopyle. The market will be outside, but we will have a covered walk way and plenty of covered space if the weather does not cooperate. There will be fires and heaters and general merriment. Ohiopyle State Park will also be lighting up Ohiopyle Falls. Come out and support your local art community and have a great time in the park.

Our “brick and mortar” store, with our popular Rapid Java coffee cart right outside open all day and a terrific pub serving lunch, dinner and the best area microbrews only 100 yards down the street. This your Ohiopyle Adventure Center. Trip check in, bike rentals, Gourmet Coffee Cart, Wireless Internet Access and great clothing & gear!

Wilderness Voyageurs Upper Yough Outfitter Store in Friendsville MD.
This is also our Upper Yough Rafting Center.
Wilderness Voyageurs Outfitters Upper Yough Outfitter Store is located at the take out of the Upper Yough in Friendsville, Maryland. It is open seasonally on Upper Yough release days. When we say it is located “at the take out”, that is truly literal! Rafts and kayaks stop right at the river bank where the store is a few yards away! Private boaters are welcome to use our steps and leave your kayaks in the yard while you are running shuttle.
Our Friendsville store location has a more limited selection of gear than the Ohiopyle outfitter store. However, we have all of the essentials to get you on the water. Paddles by Werner, paddling gear by Immersion Research, kayaks by Pyranha, and Jackson. Boats are available to demo.
We have added an Outdoor Gear Consignment Shop to the mix here in Friendsville. Do you have some equipment that no longer fits, or changing up sports? Bring it in and we will work hard to sell it for you.
