bike tour packing list

RECOMMENDED PACKING LIST FOR YOUR 6-DAY BIKE TOUR

This list is our recommendation, but feel free to adjust it to meet your needs. We ask that you keep your luggage to 1 medium size soft-sided piece with a 6,000 cubic inch maximum size. Travel duffels are ideal as they fit in the trailer nicely.  You may bring 1 carry-on day-pack as well to leave in the support vehicle for easy access throughout the day.
You will receive a Wilderness Voyageurs luggage tag the first day of the tour – please use it so your luggage is easily identifiable at accommodations.

Layering. We can’t stress this enough! Wear a good wicking layer as your “against the skin layer”. This will help with moisture management and the dryer you are, the more comfortable you will be. Wool or synthetics are the best. They both work – the biggest pro on the wool side is odor control. Wool is naturally anti-bacterial and can be worn for multiple days in a row. It also provides excellent temperature regulation. Synthetics on the other hand, dry a little faster and are often lighter weight. You can’t really go wrong as long as you aren’t wearing cotton (unless it’s an incredibly hot day!)
