Still Raining, Still Fun
With all the natural run off & rain, a group of boaters and Wilderness Voyageurs staff got out for a run on the Upper Yough. The best thing about the Upper Yough in the winter, is you get it all to yourself! There weren’t many other people out on the water. That will change soon as it’s already the end of January and the days are starting to get longer. The Lower Yough has been a little busier with paddlers since the gauge is hanging at around 5′. Plenty of fun to be had on the water!
Fly Fishing remains a little difficult with the higher mirky water. The tributaries, like Meadow Run, will be fishable sooner than the Yough.
