Santa Fe Bike Tour Route Overview
This 4-day tour of Santa Fe features a special orientation ride that winds through the historic district, a spin on the Old Santa Fe Trail, a day on city bike trails and an out-and-back north on backroads to the village of Tesuque and Rio en Medio. You’ll be fueled by Indian fry bread and New Mexico green chile while riding at elevations between 6,500 and 7,800 feet beneath a backdrop of Southern Rockies.
Read below for a quick description of each day’s ride. Route specifics are coming soon!
Day 1: Your Santa Fe cycle tour starts in the heart of the historic district. We’ll get to know our group that first morning, then we’ll get to know the City Different. A morning spin has us negotiating the narrow streets around the Plaza, and the areas of South Capitol and the Railyard District.
Day 2: The ride is a climb to the turnaround point, the tiny village of Canada de los Alamos, and the descent is a dream with view west of the Jemez Mountains.
Day 3: Rise and shine and let’s hit the city’s multi-use bike trail system!
Day 4: Our last day we head north out of town on backroads into the village of Tesuque past adobe homes, art studios, old apple orchards and small farms.
