Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail

The 70 mile Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail stretches from near Johnstown, PA to Ohiopyle State Park. Beyond Wilderness Voyageurs Outfitter Store and Falls City Pub, is the terminus of the trail. The Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail is open year-round and is blazed approximately every 100 feet with 2-inch and 5-inch yellow blazes. Connector trails lead to and from parking and shelter areas and are marked with blue blazes. Mileage monuments are every mile. Pets are permitted.

There are eight overnight shelter areas. One is located approximately every 6 to 12 miles along the trail. Each area contains five Adirondack-type shelters with fireplaces, two non-flush toilets, a water supply and spaces for 30 tents. You must make a reservtion to stay at the shelters.

Shuttles


Wilderness Voyageurs offers shuttle service between trailheads. You may park your car in front of Wilderness Voyageurs for multiple nights. Please inform us when you do so. Call us at 800-272-4141 for pricing and shuttle information.
