Experience the Youghiogheny River on a personal level that no other trip offers! Spend the day with a group as small as 6 and no larger than 20. This lets you enjoy the river at your own pace. There will be a guide in every state of the art self-bailer raft who will relate the natural and local lore of the river environment. You will embark on a side hike and enjoy a gourmet lunch along the river. You'll get to spend a little extra time swimming and taking in the beauty of the State Park. This is the perfect trip to enjoy with your family or business team.

You'll begin your day at our Outfitter Store where you'll check in, receive your lifejacket & helmet and meet your River Guides. If it is cold, a wetsuit will be provided. From there you'll be transported to the staging area where you'll begin your river trip. Everyone will be split into groups of 4 - 6 people & you'll climb into your rafts for a quick introduction before you actually hit the water. Your trip leader will give you a brief introduction on river safety, paddle strokes, boat maneuvering and what to expect on the water. From there you'll head to the river and the fun begins!

You will stop above Cucumber Rapid for a short hike to Cucumber Falls.
( Why is it named Cucumber? You will learn the answer on your trip.) Continuing down the river, your next stop will be for a gourmet style lunch. Should the group wish, another scenic walk can be taken. A refreshing swim through "Swimmers Rapid" will be enjoyed in the middle of your trip.
